I am an educator dedicated to student achievement. I have successfully developed and maintained multiple programs and courses for Salt Lake Community College for more than 10 years including fully Online, hybrid, and OER options. I pride myself in my ability to work collaboratively with others across disciplines and departments. For example, I stewarded the development of the first 2 + 2 transfer articulation between the art departments from SLCC and the University of Utah and I was elected by my peers to serve as the Arts, Communication & Digital Media faculty lead for SLCC Pathways and to chair the Senate Curriculum Committee. In addition, I have enjoyed all aspects of being a professor including teaching, professional development, and service to the college and community as demonstrated by evidence presented in my SLCC Faculty ePortfolio. My passion for learning and growth has allowed me to explore many facets of higher education including assessment, program and course development, training and certification for Online teaching, student mentoring, and advising.

Course Stewardship
I am the course steward for ART 1135 Printing Fundamentals, ART 1200 InDesign Software, ART 1210 Math for Visual Arts, ART 1240 Screen Printing, ART 1280 Photoshop Software, ART 2120 eDesign & Publishing, and ART 2200 Advanced InDesign Software. I have included links to the courses I am current teaching below. The Canvas sites are public, but not everything inside the class will be accessible. You can view the homepage, syllabus, and all of the lesson pages. The syllabus, in particular, provides a substantial amount of information about the course and my approach to teaching it. You will not be able to access any of the quizzes or assignments (aka anything you would have to be a student to submit). I am happy to provide PDF versions of these if requested.

Please note: I am responsible for the graphic communications courses within the Visual Art & Design department (stewardship is listed above). These are the technical and production classes students take in addition to their graphic design, illustration, web design, animation, etc courses.
Design Work
The slideshow below includes samples of work I have designed, produced, and installed recently. I am responsible for the printing and installation of wall graphics for Visual Art & Design events. I also design static and video ads that run on TVs across all SLCC campuses. In addition, I am very active in instructional design and online course development.
Open Educational Resources
I am passionate about open education resources. I have published all of my courses designs as OER and produced OER content for my class. Some of this work is available on this website, opengraphicarts.org.
